ZUCHEX Designathon

ZUCHEX Designathon leads the way in shaping ideas for future home living by combining the creativity of young designers with production power. Five groups of young designers developed product concepts under the mentorship of ETMK Istanbul members and company representatives.

The projects of young designers, who went through an intensive process of creativity, research, and production for two days, are now meeting visitors at the ZUCHEX Designathon Exhibition.

These designs, each developed to address the real needs of a company, combine aesthetics, functionality, and innovation. In this journey from idea to prototype, the unique perspectives of young designers, the guidance of mentors, and the contributions of industry representatives came together to create inspiring results.

At the exhibition, you will see designs in different concepts, from kitchen utensils to living space products, from rational solutions that make daily life easier to innovative interpretations for the future.

This exhibition is a reflection not only of the products but also of the imagination, patience, and collective production power of young designers.

ETMK Istanbul

The Industrial Designers' Society of Turkey (ETMK), established in Ankara in 1988, is the most established professional organization in the field of industrial design in Turkey. ETMK carries the mission of creating a design network that is integrated into Turkey's industrial and production processes and recognized at national and international levels. Its purpose is to increase the importance and impact of industrial design, to provide knowledge and experience sharing among colleagues, and to protect the rights of designers.

It guides the Turkish industry in the field of industrial design through exhibitions and events it organizes. Since 2008, ETMK has been adding value to Turkish industry, designers, and designs with the Design Turkey Industrial Design Awards, which are organized together with the Ministry of Trade and the Exporters Assembly and have international recognition. Additionally, ETMK further advances its mission of promoting Turkish design and designers globally through its membership in the World Design Organization (WDO) and other international connections.

With its Istanbul branch and other branches, ETMK continues to support designers throughout Turkey. ETMK Istanbul is the Istanbul branch of the organization, opened in 1998. ETMK Istanbul aims to organize many events that closely follow sectoral developments, contribute to professional development, and emphasize the social benefits of design, to participate in organizations that will provide more business connections to its members, and to strengthen solidarity among colleagues. For this purpose, ETMK Istanbul participates as a program partner of D2B (Designers to Business) through its collaboration with FDI and aims to contribute to designers' increased collaboration in the furniture industry.
