Bambum’un hikâyesi bundan 12 sene önce iki adet bambu bıçakla başladı. Kimyasal ürünlerin kullanımı hızla artarken, buzullar eriyip okyanuslar kirlenirken, elinde imkân olan herkesin bir şeyler yapması gerektiğine inanıyorduk. Üzerimize düşeni yapmak için yola çıktık.

Bu hedef doğrultusunda birçok çevreci hammaddeyi inceledik. Pamuk, cam, toprak, ahşap gibi hammaddeler arasında en çevreci malzeme olan bambuya odaklanmaya karar verdik. Uzak Doğu’dan başka hiçbir yerde bilinmeyen bambuyu işleyerek dünya mutfaklarında kullanıma sunduk.
